New trend ???

Jul. 6th 2010 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)

Some trends we embrace and some we don’t.

For weeks now I’m seeing women wearing combination of clothing I really don’t understand.  It began with black now I also saw white what will be the next color? I’m talking about wearing leggings underneath a denim skirt. How can it be that you are wearing a legging underneath a denim skirt that has a good length.

To find out if more countries had the same  phenomenon I used google.  And it seems it’s a world wide upcoming trend. Some think it’s hot, some think it’s not. We think it’s a no go. You need to wear leggings underneath a tunic or shirt dress but definitely not underneath a denim skirt.

Denim is Rocking the Industry!

Jun. 19th 2010 by Ashley Veraart (author)

Denim is hot. Denim items are everywhere. Of course we all are familiar with the  jeans pants, but this summer we also see denim tops, shorts, jumpsuits, jackets, and so on.
All your favorite garments can be found in a denim version. Not only we combine denim with other items, we also see a lot of denim on denim or total denim outfits.
Furthermore we see that denim is present in all kinds of different trends. We can see denim in the cowgirl look by D&G, in the more street look by Dsquared2, or simple at Stella McCartney.

The festival style is another way to wear your denim. Tough, a bit rock ‘n roll, layed back, and slightly nostalgic. Denim items mixed with black & white, printed shirts, and the checkered blouse, with accessories such as a hat, guitar, or pilot sunglasses. Get inspired. Get ready to rock your denim!

Fashionable Bootcamp

Mar. 28th 2010 by Ashley Veraart (author)

At ease! The combat boot is no longer only worn by soldiers. This rather coarse boot with laces, which finds its origin in the army, is now also embraced by fashionista’s. The combat boot is comfortable, tough and edgy. It can add even more edge to a rockchic look with skinny jeans and leather jacket, or spice up a rather sweet and innocent flower dress.

The clog returns

Mar. 2nd 2010 by Ashley Veraart (author)

This spring the clog seems to make its return. The Swedish clog though, not to be confused with the Dutch-yellow-farmer-variant. Lots of designers introduced the clog on the catwalk as the fashion-musthave for this season.
Chanel seems to have set the trend, but also fashion houses as Louis Vuitton and Celine consider the clog to be the new fashion-conscious footwear.

Yet it frequently takes some time before these types of trends translate themselves to the street and also become available in the more common and affordable shops.
But the clog is now immediately being sold in the highstreet shops. At Zara we see replicas inspired on the Chanel clog en also brands like Clarks and Ugg provide us with a clog variant. So let the first sunlight touch are cheeks, and we will be approaching spring wearing clogs!

blazer-pack-11

Nike is releasing a ‘revival pack’ from the classic Nike Blazer. Ten different colours appeared, for men and women. A nice detail is that the Nike Swoosh is made out of patent leather.

Next to the standard colours: black, white and grey Nike releases mainly sweet colours that make us very happy during these winter times! These versions of the Nike Blazer are only available in Japan. We hope they will be accessible soon in our country as well.nike blazer

Sneakertip: For a edgy look, wear your fresh sneakers on a legging in combination with a long sweater.

New trend among the men

Dec. 1st 2009 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)

Russische bontmuts
At the time everywhere I look I see Russian fur hats and the winter hasn’t even started. And not the women but the men are massively wearing them. I never noticed it before that especially men are going along with a trend. The fur hat is available in all kind of variations. Fesjon is curious if this trend will keep on growing or will die a silent death. What do you think?

Japanese Street Fashion by hakanphotography

What everybody has wondered: who decides what’s trendy and what’s not. Where do the fashion designers get their inspiration from? Obviously it’s the same source for every designer considering the main difference between their clothing lines are more about styling then design. Well, the answer is pretty simple… the designers get inspired by you and me; it’s what is seen on the street.

Fesjon is going to hit the streets too for some serious trend seeking. We are looking for the young fashionistas among us to capture the latest  fashion trends on camera. Are you interested, please contact is via our contact form. And maybe…
