And Beyond’s “Smoke” collection
And Beyond maakte afgelopen vrijdag erg veel indruk met de presentatie van hun collectie genaamd “Smoke”. In het machinegebouw toonde het duo de collectie in het donker met letterlijk heel veel rook. De spotlights stonden gericht op de glazen kasten waar de collectie in te zien was. Het publiek was gefascineerd en liep (mede door de drukte) een aantal keren om de kasten heen om een glimp van de collectie mee te krijgen.
Het symphatieke duo, Jolanda van den Broek en Brigitte Hendrix, toonde de draagbare collectie op een magische manier. De collectie bestaat uit donkere kleuren zoals zwart en grijs en bevat veel prints. Alles ging letterlijk in rook op.
Een erg origineel idee om zich te onderscheiden van alle AIFW deelnemende ontwerpers, het was nl. geen catwalkshow met modellen. Benieuwd? Binnenkort het interview met de dames van And Beyond.

And Beyond impressed a lot of people and visitors last friday during their “Smoke” presentation at the AIFW. In the machine building the duo presented their collection in a dark place with literally a lot of smoke. The spotlights were directed on the glass cabinets where you could see the collection. Everybody was fascinated and walked a few times in a round to see all designs.
The very nice duo, Jolanda van den Broek and Brigitte Hendrix, presented their wearable designs in a very magical way. The collection features dark colors like black and grey with a lot of prints. Literally everything went up in smoke.
A very original idea to distinguish theirselves from all participating designers of AIFW 2010. It wasn’t a traditional catwalkshow including models. Curious? Soon you can see the interview Fesjon had with the designersduo.
