Voor haar vierde collectie was Kim Bakker geïnspireerd door het meest zuidelijkste uiteinde van de aarde. In 1911 was Roald Amunsden de enige man die deze het hart van de Zuid pool heeft bereikt. Vergezeld door zes companions en 16 husky’s. De onderzoekers hadden het zwaar te voorduren tijdens hun reis over een witte landschap met als contrast de bruine rotsen.For the fourth collection of the label Kim Bakker was inspired by the most southern extremity of Earths axis. In this place of eternal winter, Roald Amundsen accompanied by six travel companions and 16 husky’s was the first man in 1911 how reach the heart of the South pole.
The explorers endured great hardship, in their voyage through a white geometrical landscape that stood in contrast with the rocks.

Gebaseerd op deze fantastische reizen scheppte Bakker een geheel nieuwe bevolkingsgroep dat in het midden van de pool leeft. Gekleed in verfijnde gebreide Noorse stoffen en gewaxte katoenen jassen met bond kraag (nep natuurlijk) hetzelfde soort jas dat Roald Amunsden droeg tijdens zijn reis. De basis kleuren zijn sober zwart, grijs, wit, bruin en als verfrissende element ijsblauw. Echt vernieuwend was de collectie niet maar zeer zeker heerlijk om aan te hebben tijdens een koude winter dag.Based on these imaginative travels, Bakker formed a whole new civilisation wihich lives in the midst of the pole. Dressed in refined Norwegian knits and waxed cotton coats with fur collar (faux fur ofcourse) the same coat Roald Amunsden used to wear. The colour shades are sober black, grey, white, brown and for a refreshing element iceblue.
The collection wasn’t extraordinary but a pleasure to wear on a cold winter day.
