Maison Descartes presents: three Designers from Paris.
Are you also looking forward to see the Amsterdam Fashion Week, which will be held this week in Amsterdam? We at Fesjon.com are very enthusiastic about this week and we will countdown the days! But besides of the opportunity to visit the shows of new talents and known designers, there is also something else you can visit. Especially for this week Maison Descartes presents: documentaries of three Designers from Paris. You can visit each of these documentaries for free! It will certainly not be the least designers. Each of the documentaries will be very interesting. Verheug jij je ook al enorm op komende week?! Wij bij Fesjon tellen de dagen af voor de Amsterdam International Fashion Week 2010! Naast de mogelijkheid om de shows van aanstormende en bekende talenten te bezoeken, is er ditmaal ook gelegenheid tot het bezoeken van verschillende documentaires over modeontwerpers (geheel gratis). Het gaat hier niet over de minsten.
What about “Karl Lagerfeld”? Do we find the true about this mysterious person? Is he a dandy from another era? Who is the person behind his glasses? He has been living in times of war and knows of the Warhol-time. This documentary will follow him during one of his many trips over the world of couture from Paris to New York, trough Tokyo and during his shows.Wat dacht je bijvoorbeeld van “Karl Lagerfeld “. Komen wij meer te weten over de persoon die hij daadwerkelijk is? Is hij een dandy uit een andere tijd? Wie gaat er werkelijk schuil achter zijn zwarte bril? Hij is een kind van de oorlog, hij heeft de Warhol jaren gekend. Deze documentaire volgt hem tijdens een van zijn vele reizen over de wereld van de couture van Parijs naar New York, via Tokyo en zijn shows.

Forty years ago she started her own brand named after herself: Sonia Rykiel. “Making a collection is the same as telling a story”.. she said. Being a designer is not just having a profession, but it is a way of living. It is lonely at the top.
Of wat dacht je bijvoorbeeld van de rossige eenling Sonia Rykiel, die zich als jong meisje niet kon kleden? Veertig jaar geleden richtte zij naar haar eigen vernoemde merk: Sonia Rykiel op. Het maken van een collectie is eigenlijk het vertellen van een verhaal, aldus de ontwerpster. In deze meeslepende documentaire vertelt zij over haar beroep. Dat eigenlijk meer een manier van leven is.
Last but not least Agnès Troublé, the child of Lenôtre the creator of the gardens of Versailles. When she was a child she lived close to this garden. She established Agnes B which is the first letters of the father of her sons. She loves simplicity and refinement. Her inspiration sources are movies, concerts and most of all the streets. Journalist Serge July (co-founder of the French magazine Liberation) will follow her during this documentary in her factory at Rue Dieu where Agnès Trouble create, centralize and achieve her ideas.En/of last but not least Agnes Troublé. Dit kind van Lenôtre- de ontwerper van de tuinen van Versailles waar zij als kind vlakbij woondde. Zij registreert Agnès b waarvan de kleine letters grote waarde hebben, de “b” is de beginletter van de naam van de vader van haar zoons. Zij houdt van de verfijning van de eenvoud en vindt haar inspiratie in films, concerten maar vooral op straat. In deze documentaire volgt journalist Serge July (mede-oprichter van het dagblad Liberation) haar in haar “factory” aan Rue Dieu, waar ze al haar ideeën centraliseert en ontwikkelt.
