AMSTERDAM, Nederland – Vrijdag werd het lange wachten beloond. SuperTrash zou dè show van de Fashion Week worden. Er werd gefluisterd dat goodiebags waren gevuld met iPhones, waardebonnen en peperdure zonnebrillen en dat de dochter van zanger Keith Richards, Alexandra Richards front row zou zitten. Ik kan alleen het laatste bevestigen, Alexandra Richards zat schuin tegen over me! De goodiebag greep ik helaas mis!!AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands — Last Friday a long wait was rewarded. SuperTrash would be THE show of this years Fashion Week. Rumors were whispered that the SuperTrash goodiebags were filled with iPhones, valuable cheques and expensive sunglasses. Also would Keith Richard’s daughter Alexandra Richards sit front row! I can only confirm that last rumor to be true. Alexandra sat a hand reach from my seat! The goodiebag I was trying to grab didn’t make it to my hand!!

De collectie was geïnspireerd op Cleopatra, koningin van het oude Egypte. Een krachtige, zelfbewuste en verleidelijke vrouw. Precies dàt wat een vrouw in zich moet hebben om deze nieuwe collectie te dragen! De lengte van de jurkjes was Super Short en de pasvorm Super Tight. Een beetje tè Super Trashy? Ik vond van niet! Er werden mooie breisels geshowd (zeg nou zelf, hoe trashy is een breisel?!) en het kleurenpallet was met aardentinten ook braaf, helaas had het af en toe wel een gouden randje…The collection was inspired on Cleopatra, queen of the old Egypt. A powerful, self conscious and tempting woman. Exactly what a woman should have to wear this new collection! The dress length was Super Short and the fit Super Tight. A bit too Super Trashy? I do not think so. Beautiful knitting was shown (just tell me, how trashy is knitting?!) and the color palet was a decent earth ground. Unfortunately with a golden border here and there…

De nadruk van de collectie lag op de schouderpartij. Waarvan sommige ‘schouderkappen’ erg leken op de ‘schouders’ die we zagen bij de show van Marc Jacobs tijdens de New York Fashion Week. Nieuw waren de schouders met doorgestikte lederen pads en schouders met losvallende draped robes, zoals een brons/goud kleurige jurkje waarvan Yfke Sturm (ook front row) gisteren al een exemplaar droeg. The emphasis of the collection was on the shoulder section. Some of the shoulder covers looked a bit like the ‘shoulders’ from the Marc Jacobs show at the New York Fashion Week. The shoulders with stitched leather patches and falling draped robes were new though. As could be seen on the bronze/golden colorful dress of which Yfke Sturm (also sitting front row) already wore one.
