Waar komt de naam HED KANDI vandaan?
Where does the name “HED KANDI” come from?
Letterlijk vertaald betekent Hed Kandi ‘hoofdsnoep’. Dit is een verwijzing naar de combinatie van zintuigprikkelende elementen van het merk. Het herkenbare artwork en de typische Hed Kandi muziek. Ear Candy + Eye Candy = Hed Kandi!Hed Kandi literally translated means “head candy”. This is a reference to the exciting combination of sensory elements of the brand. The distinctive artwork and the typical Hed Kandi music. Ear Candy + Eye Candy = Hed Kandi!

Een aanbod van een zeer toegankelijke sound, laverend tussen pop, dance, disco en funk, die wordt ondersteund door de beste internationale live artiesten. Elke maand wordt er een nieuw album uitgebracht, waarvan de teller inmiddels op ruim 95 uitgebrachte cd’s staat. Bekende Hed Kandi albumnamen zijn Disco Kandi, Disco Heaven, Beach House en Nu Disco.Hed Kandi started in 1999 with the release of the album Nu Cool. Hed Kandi is a spectacle for the music industry. Niet alleen een hele eer dat de keuze hiervoor op Amsterdam is gevallen, maar ook wordt dit het grootste en meest spectaculaire Hed Kandi feest ooit gegeven. We kijken terug op 10 fantastische jaren Hed Kandi, maar zijn stiekem nog meer benieuwd naar hetgeen nog komen gaat. Op en na deze prachtige mijlpaal!On March 6, 2010 Hed Kandi celebrates its 10 year anniversary, global existence in Amsterdam! Not only a great honor but this is the largest and most spectacular Hed Kandi party ever given. We look back on 10 fantastic Hed Kandi years and ofcourse we are secretly interested in what is still to come. On and after this wonderful milestone!

Speciaal voor de 10 year Anniversary party wordt ‘s werelds grootste discobal naar Nederland gehaald: The Glitterball. De Heineken Music Hall wordt omgetoverd tot een glamorous nightclub met de meest superfuturistische stage sinds de Alive Tour van Daft Punk. De spectaculaire discobal is het podium voor de internationale Hed Kandi DJ’s en wereldberoemde live artiesten, onder wie saxofoniste Candy Dulfer.Especially for the 10 year Anniversary party there will be world’s largest disco ball taken to the Netherlands: The Glitter Ball. The Heineken Music Hall is transformed into a glamorous night club with the most futuristic super stage since Daft Punk’s Alive Tour. The disco ball is a spectacular stage for international Hed Kandi DJ’s and live world-renowned artists, including saxophonist Candy Dulfer.
