Dior’s SS10 Haute couture collection in Parijs
Onlangs werd in Parijs de nieuwe Haute couture spring/summer 2010 collectie van John Galliano voor Dior gepresenteerd. En zoals altijd was het weer een fenomale show. Voor de nieuwe Haute couture collectie had John Galliano zich laten inspireren door Charles James. James is de man die in 1947 Christian Dior inspireerde voor zijn new look collection. Recently Dior presented the new Haute Couture spring / summer 2010 collection by John Galliano in Paris. And as always it was a phenomenal show. Charles James inspired John Galliano new Haute Couture collection.

De collectie bestond uit hoge hoeden met daaronder het haar opgevangen in overdreven grote haarnetjes. Roze geruite jagers jasjes met rokken van gedrappeerde en geplooide stoffen, die ontworpen zijn om zo in het zadel te stappen, dit aangevuld met handschoentjes en paarden zweepjes om het Jacht thema extra te benadrukken. High top hats with underneath their hair caught in oversized snoods.
Pink hunting jackets with skirts of draped and pleated fabric designed to step right into the saddle, supplemented by gloves and horsewhips to define the hunting theme.
De avond jurken waren geinspireerd door de Amerikaanse mode van begin 20ste eeuw, en door de vrouwlijke miljonair en style icoon: Millicent Rogers.
Hand geborduurde coctail jurkjes van zijde aangevuld met veel tule in pastel tinten. In chiffon gehulde hoeden schuin op de hoofden van de modellen geplaats zodat de extravagante make up en het perfect gestylde haar beter te zien was.
De avond werd afgesloten met betoverende lange gala jurken die uit bijzonder sterke kleuren combinaties bestonden zoals: chocolade bruin, bessen rood en olijf groen afgemaakt met enorme juwelen en sieraden die de collectie romantisch doen overkomen. The evening gowns were inspired by the American fashion of the early 20th century and by the female millionaire and style icon: Millicent Rogers.
Hand embroidered short cocktail dresses complemented with lots of tulle in different kinds of pastel shades.
Chiffon-swathed hats, worn aslant on the heads of the models, so that the extravagant make up and perfectly styled hair stood out. The evening was closed with long enchanting gowns in extraordinary color combination’s like: Chocolate brown, Raspberry red and olive green with a finishing touch off giant jewels and accessories to make it all looks so romantic.
Alweer succes voor Dior. John Galliano heeft met deze show weer een enorme indruk bij het publiek achtergelaten. Yet another success for Dior.
