On Saturday January 29 SuperTrash showed in a packed Gashouder her latest Autumn Winter collection during Amsterdam International Fashion Week. During the Amsterdam International Fashion Week Individuals shows their fall/winter 2011/2012 collection. La Petite Mort is the tenth collection of the fashionlabel from students from the AMFI.
This collection shows the inner struggle between the desire for freedom and the need of retaining control. This was manifested in the use of light smooth, sometimes transparent materials like silk. Also the loose silhouettes stressed this desire.
The emphasis was on the female form by corsets and increased shoulder parties. Just like last season there was a lot of attention for the small details. This makes the collection very special.
This collection contains less color. They used a lot of classic black combine with a spark of copper luxury fabrics like cashmere and leather.
The collection of ZEM by Samira Algoe has the name the Sounds Of Mountains. And it really had a fresh interpretation of the already known combination of the use of geometric flatten. This collection is being brought with soft colors. The colors are not really colors but shadows from other colors. The colors do you think of wintercold, snow, rain, wind and bright sunlight.

Elsien Gringhuis won €25.000 with her collection for the first Green Fashion Competition. There were 8 different collections nominated. Winde Reinstra her green haute couture is on the edge of fashion and art, showing a fascination with structures and characterized by a recognizable signature.
The 14th Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) will be held at the Westergasterrein in Amsterdam from 26 to 30 January 2011. Opening the official runway presentations on Wednesday, 26 January will be a show by Jan Taminiau. The schedule for the following days will be filled with new talented designers, established names and trendsetting fashion labels. New names on the programme include Bas Kosters, Tony Cohen and Velour.
The Fashion Week LAB. will provide a platform for eight ambitious young designers. In addition to the shows, the AIFW will organise DOWNTOWN, a varied programme of fashion-related activities open to the public that will open at the INDIVIDUALS brand store.

The thirteenth edition of Amsterdam International Fashion Week is already next week. The official catwalk program starts this Wednesday 14 July till Sunday 18 July.
