Dreamy Mango Summer 2010 Campaign

May. 7th 2010 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)

Summertime… and the living’s easy.

Or at least that’s how Scarlett Johansson makes it look in her dreamy new Summer 2010 campaign for Mango.

Dubbed “Summer Light,” the collection marks Johannson and photographer Mario Sorrenti’s fourth joint outing for the Spanish retailer.

This time, however, the duo has ditched the black eyeliner and vampy poses for a romantic, dreamy and natural look, punctuated by strongly defined eye brows. One of Fall 2010′s hottest beauty trends, bold brows were a staple on the runways of Prada, Micheal Kors and Erin Wasson x RVCA, and are already being adopted into the everyday beauty lexicon by style-conscious starlets.

Johannson models sexy white sundresses, breezy pastel tops and a boho-chic denim vest in the shots, which exude a quiet ’60s-flavored charm.

The collection is focused on heavenly blue and white pieces, feminine florals and frills, paisley prints and more…

Mango t-shirt line by de la Renta

When Jacquetta Wheeler walked the finale of Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2005 show wearing a poufy dancing skirt and a rock ‘n’ roll T-shirt, people were slightly taken aback, but later warmed to the uptown-meets-downtown edginess.

It turns out this was not the work of Oscar de la Renta, but that of his son, Moises, who was just starting out as a designer. Debuting on a runway in front of every important editor in the world is some break, and he’s never looked back.

Moises has his own ready-to-wear collection, has dressed Michelle Obama and is now on the world stage with a capsule collection of T-shirts, Moises de la Renta for Mango, in collaboration with the Spanish retailer.

The limited edition T-shirts are embellished with jewels, tulle, stones and cool, iconic images which make them stand-alone works of art.

Moises de la Renta for Mango T-shirts are already available in Europe and will hit stores in the U.S. the second week of April.

This spring Mango will be coming with a new lingerie line. The first collection named Sweet MNG exists out of eighteen patterns. Starting February 2009 lingerie’s will be available in all Mango branches. Mango has sold lingerie before, in February 2005 the Spanish company “Capricho” launched an affordable young lingerie line. The tendency was for the line to be sold worldwide, but “Capricho” never reached the Netherlands.
