The watchmaker Casio G-shock launched their first Dutch collaboration with menswear label OntFront. The young label was picked by Casio G-shock because it represents Dutch fashion and cutting edge street style in one. Casio challenged OntFront to design a tough and rugged G-shock that equally represents the refined character of OntFront. OntFront designer Liza Koifman chose to work with the GA-110C with analog and digital elements. The firm and tough watch is matte anthracite and the wristband is covered with a pixelated snake skin print and OntFront logo. Only 50 pieces will be manufactured in Japan and all watches will be numbered and engraved by hand. The watch will be sold exclusively at the OntFront store in Amsterdam and Gorilli in Rotterdam, starting from October.
Tomorrow the men collection brand OntFront will have an official brand store launch at the Haarlemmerdijk 121 in Amsterdam. You are always welcome but the launch will be from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. So if you are in the neighbourhood don’t hesitate to stop by the store.
We’ve been introduced with during the Amsterdam Fashion Week in July 2009, the brand is established in 2007 by Tomas Overtoom and Liza Koifman. We were very impressed by the fashion show and the collection that we saw, since then we follow the brand.
With Tygo Gernandt as their muse Ontfront is well-known as a brand for the ‘bad boy’ and the ‘gentleman’. After fashion shows at the Amsterdam-, Shanghai- and Hong Kong fashion week and different pop up stores, it’s now time for the opening of the official Ontfront brand store.
Last weekend we attended the second edition of Bastiaan’s Bazar. The whole weekend everyone was welcome to shop in Zuiveringshal West in Amsterdam. By arrival we received an exclusive Bastiaan van Schaik shopping bag inclusive a fashion voucher worth €10 to spend.

The hall was very full some people couldn’t even sit down. From beginning to end we watched the show with a lot of enthusiasm. Dutch designers where presenting there most beautiful creations, with 60 models, this the most amount of models that has been walking for a show at AIFW.
We have seen creations of Daryl van Wouw, Elsien Gringhuis, Monique Collignon, Lew, LaDress, Mada van Gaans, MalouseBastiaan, Ontfront, And Beyond, Michael Barnaart van Bergen, Jeroen van Tuyl, Bibi van der Velden and Ilja Visser.
During AIFW ( Amsterdam International Fashion Week) we were been introduced with the men label Ontfront. We were surprised that there is finally a fashionforward men label that doesn’t go for the safe standard road.
At the previous AIFW edition they presented their fifth collection named “Shift Gear“. After the runway show they wanted to do something more and came with a moving editorial. The futuristic Amsterdam has been used as background for the animation where the models symbolize the theme of the collection: fast cars like Lamborghini and Spyker.
Unfortunately they don’t show their S/S 2011 during upcoming AIFW, at the moment they are working on some exciting projects. Be continued…
Last Saturday January 30th OntFront presented their fifth men collection. This time speed, extra HP, spinning wheels was the theme of this show.
“I always loved the esthetic’s from car design. Spyker, Lamborghini… the lines and aerodynamic shape of the fast cars have been the base for the fifth collection.” says Liza Koifman.
The basic colours were very dark such as ‘asphalt’ anthracite and ‘rubber’ black with eggplant and red as accent colours. The fabrics are from Italy and France. Next to the traditional fabrics they also used water-resistant fabrics.
The collection has 68 pieces; from coats, t-shirts, jeans, shirts till unique blazers all very stylish. Just like the previous Fashion Week we at Fesjon also liked this collection it’s really fashion forward.
After the designers duo returned from Hong Kong Fashion Week we had the opportunity to interview the designers.
The Amsterdam International Fashion Week already started.
