Some trends we embrace and some we don’t.

For weeks now I’m seeing women wearing combination of clothing I really don’t understand.  It began with black now I also saw white what will be the next color? I’m talking about wearing leggings underneath a denim skirt. How can it be that you are wearing a legging underneath a denim skirt that has a good length.

To find out if more countries had the same  phenomenon I used google.  And it seems it’s a world wide upcoming trend. Some think it’s hot, some think it’s not. We think it’s a no go. You need to wear leggings underneath a tunic or shirt dress but definitely not underneath a denim skirt.

The ready-to-wear collection of Balmain contains the wellknown jungle colors. The great and imaginative designer of Balmain, Christophe Decarnin, knows how to impress us again with his beautiful collection of S/S 2010. The collection is very sexy, chic and has a lot of attitude!

Sneakers are totally fashion these days. A nice reason to put your beautiful, but high heels in the closet once in a while. Red, yellow, screaming green or just a little bit more sophisticated silver, you can choose every colour if you want to.

But what if you want to make sure not to bump into someone who’s wearing the same as you do? You go to Patta’s. Shoes without any extras. That’s what the shoes from ‘Koos’ are all about. You expect a total Dutch concept, but that’s not totally true. It’s a commitment between Dutch designer Nynke Fennema and a designer from Japan, Shinichi Kato.

In Japan it’s a huge hit and even here it’s getting more and more a trend. The keywords of Koos are; casual, elegant and comfortable. They’re certaintly easygoing shoes, because you can’t find any high heels in the whole line.

During the last few production years they kept all the little pieces of leather, because it was a pity to throw it away. Then the idea came for a shoeline for children. ‘Tante Tini’ came up, which is totally Dutch.

Did you ever think about what our best friend, the bag, has to go through? The rock/punk look is totally the IT-look this winter. A very nice trend, cause you it’s so easy to wear. Think about black leggings or (ripped) skinny jeans with biker boots. Combine this with a long shirt, laces, long chains and a leather jacket. Put some smokey eyes on your face, some dark colours on your nails and you’re ready to rock!

Boots are winterproof forever. But this season we’re going a little bit further. Yes, over the knee. Get yourself ready for the cold days, because you will be very warm with these items.

To finish your look the right way, you want to wear tight jeans. But you honestly feel much more happy wearing your easy-to-wear legging. Crisis!
