My name is Manon, 20 years of age and communication student. Since I was a little girl fashion was my biggest passion. It is wonderful to get inspired by the people on the street, fashion shows, vintage items, fashion magazines etc.. The successful Dutch designers Viktor & Rolf launching a Limited edition  “Little black dress” collection for Spring/ Summer 2010. ‘The house of Viktor & Rolf’, the biggest retrospective exhibition of the famous fashion duo ever to be held in the Netherlands, will be opened on November 25th in the ‘Centraal Museum’. It offers every visitor the unique opportunity to be present at an exclusive fashion event by Viktor & Rolf. In this retrospective they will showcase the spectacular highlights of the last 15 years from the Viktor & Rolf collections. In this period, the influential duo has conquered the fashion world with their typical mix of cool irony and surrealistic beauty. After a successful presentation in the Barbican Art Gallery in London, the exhibition will now touch down in the Central Museum in Utrecht. Current fashion is an important cornerstone of the Central Museum.

Modeduo Viktor & Rolf (V&R) is de winnaar van de titel ‘Reclameman van het jaar 2008′. Dat maakte initiatiefnemer Marketing Tribune donderdag bekend in het AmsterdamseStudio K. Zelf waren de ontwerpers Viktor Horsting en Rolf Snoeren niet bij de uitreiking aanwezig.

De prijs werd uitgereikt door burgemeester Job Cohen, die vorig jaar werd uitgeroepen tot Reclameman van het Jaar. Het was de 26e keer dat de prijs werd uitgereikt, als een persoonlijke vakonderscheiding voor een persoon die zich positief heeft onderscheiden op marketing- en reclamegebied. Het juryrapport noemde V&R “merkiconen die internationaal grote bekendheid genieten” en hun shows “briljante explosies van creativiteit”.

Verschillende buitenlandse media berichten vandaag dat Marc Jacobs en Renzo Rosso de handen ineen geslagen hebben. De heren- en denimcollectie van Jacobs zal vanaf de menswear s/s ’10 collectie
geproduceerd worden onder de wereldwijde licentie van Staff International SpA, dat deel uitmaakt van Rosso’s bedrijf Only the Brave. De deal is voor vijf jaar met mogelijkheid tot verlenging.
