Tijdens de haute couture show van Paul Schulten worden we meegevoerd in een tijdreis door verschillende periodes in de mode. Deze adembenemende reis begint eind jaren veertig, vervolgt zich naar begin jaren vijftig en eindigt in de jaren tachtig. During the haute couture show of Paul Schulten we are taking on a journy through different periods in fashion. This breathtaking trip starts in the early 40′s, continues in the 50′s and ends in the 80′s.
Centraal staan luxe en vrouwelijkheid en de souvenirs uit deze periodes die dit weergeven… Deze luxe en vrouwelijkheid is zelfs terug te vinden in de zeer draagbare workwear waar de show mee wordt gestart. Luxury, elegance and the souvenires from these periods are the central theme in the show. These are even noticable in the very wearable workwear where the show kicks off with.

Uitermate elegante tweedpakje, paardrijbroeken en jumpsuits komen de trap af van het chique Okura hotel. Afwisselend van lieflijk roze tot krachtig zwart en veel gebruik van leer en suede maakt het zeer interessant om naar te kijken. Very elegant tweedsuits, stretchpants and jumpsuits are coming down the stairs of the stylish Okura hotel. Sweet pink, powerfull black together with leather and suede makes it very interesting to watch.

De Muziek en sfeer veranderd. Rokkostuumachtige pakken maken hun entree, compleet met vlinderdas. Verrassend mooi zijn de korsettops met een kanten bovenstuk. Prachtig en het ik-wil-het-hebben-gevoel laait op. The music and atmosphere changes. Pinquinsuits are making an entrance, including the bowty. Surprisingly beautiful are the korsets wicht they are waering under the suits and have a beautiful lase top.

De grandfinale is natuurlijk wanneer de avondjaponnen voorbij zweven. Met ingehouden adem en bijna geemotioneerd kijkt men naar prachtig offshoulder, a-symetrische en andere japonnen. Hier ook veel veel kant en glimmertjes. The big finale is ofcourse when the evening dresses are floating by. With emotion everybody is wathing the beautiful offshoulder, a-symetric and other dresses. Here also a lot of lase and a lot of shining and shimmering.

Het moge duidelijk zijn dat Paul Schulten zich met recht heeft laten inspireren door de mooie souvenirs uit deze periodes. It may be clear that Paul Schulten was right to let himself be inspired by the beautiful souvenirs from these period.
