Expresso is een Nederlands fashionlabel dat goed doet voor mode, mens en milieu. Zo proberen ze bij Expresso de natuur zo min mogelijk te belasten door te letten op o.a. afvalscheiding, energieverbruik en recycling en gebruiken ze veel milieuvriendelijke (grond)stoffen. Daarbij steunt Expresso veel goede doelen, is deelnemer van Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) en heeft dit seizoen weer een bijzondere collectie voor ons! De Spring/Summer 2010 collectie heeft zeven interessante thema’s, vier voor het voorjaar en drie voor de zomer. Elk thema heeft zijn eigen opvallende stijl items, maar ook goede basics en bijbehorende accessoires.Expresso is a Dutch fashionbrand that does good for fashion, people and planet. At Expresso, they try to minimize nature pollution as much as possible by paying attention to waste separation, energy use and recycling as well as using a lot of environmentally friendly fabrics. Besides Expresso supports a lot of charity’s, is a participant of Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) and has a very special collection for us this season! The Spring/Summer 2010 collection includes seven interesting themes, four for the spring and three for the summer. Each theme had it’s own striking style items, but also a lot of basics and matching accessories.

Het thema Paris-Dakar in het voorjaar heeft stoere, nonchalante broeken die gecombineerd worden met supervrouwelijke tops van mooie materialen zoals zijde en zomerse breisels. Dit alles in rustige kleuren zoals kit, blue en taupe en met Ikat motieven en subtiele grafische prints. Ook zien we in Paris-Dakar de denim legging en de boyfriend jeans casual gestyled met een colbertje. Voor een stoere look zijn er bijpassende accessoires met leren details. The theme Paris-Dakar in the spring collection has got tough, nonchalant trousers which can be combined with super female tops from pretty materials like silk and knitted fabrics. In the Paris-Dakar theme we also see the denim legging and the boyfriend jeans, styled casual with a Colbert. For a though look there are matching accessories with leather details.

Moorse invloeden staan in het voorjaar centraal binnen het  Marrakech thema. Denk aan de harembroek en fraaie halsbewerkingen met verwassen kant, muntjes en haakwerk. Zo zien we ook de etnische prints en multicolor strepen die garant staan voor een uiterst vrouwelijke, nomadische collectie met kleuren als oker en olive. De stoffen die we zien bij Marrakech zijn zomers en natuurlijk, zoals linnen en viscose.Marrakech in the spring, has a lot of Moorish influences. Think of the harem pants and beautiful neck decorations from washed lace, little coins and knitwork. We also see the ethnic prints and multicolor stripes who guarantee an extremely feminine, nomadic collection with colours like ocher and olive. The fabrics we see in the Marrakech collection are summerly and natural, like linen and viscose.

True Romance is een romantische, ultra vrouwelijke lijn met veel nostalgische draperieën en vallingen. De items hebben een sophisticated stijl en zijn gemaakt in gladde, soepelvallende stoffen zoals zijde en chiffon. De zachte kleuren met bloemen in allerlei groottes en variaties en aquarelprints geven een heerlijk lente-gevoel.True Romance is a romantic, feminine theme with many nostalgic drapes and rakes. The items have a very sophisticated style and are made in smooth, supple fabrics like silk and chiffon. The soft colours with flowers in all sorts of sizes and variations and watercolor prints give a good spring vibe.

Voor de liefhebbers van felle kleuren is er het thema 80′s Hip. Denk aan kleuren als lipstick en light berry en een gedurfd silhouet met overhangende schouders of fladdermouw. De prints zijn opvallend met vlinders, kleurrijke bloemen en natuurlijk jaren 80 grafische strepen en blokjes. For people who love bright colours Expresso has a 80´s Hip theme. Think of colours such as lipstick and light berry and a daring silhouette with overhanging shoulders or butterfly sleeves. The prints are very striking with butterflies, colourful flowers and of course 80´s graphic stripes and cubes.

Nog meer jaren 80 invloeden zien we in de zomerse lijn Grafity. Voor een vrouwelijke, doch stoere, rebelse look kies je voor de tops met een trapezium shape die vragen om gedragen te worden met leggings of strakke broeken.Voor een meer nonchalanter beeld zijn de comfy boyfriend jeans en wijde broeken met een laag kruis, die je leuk kunt combineren met een lang loose-fit gilet. In dit thema vind je veel glanzende stoffen en veel verschillende soorten prints, zoals bloemen, bollen, verfvegen en spetters. De contrasterende strakke sieraden met metalen elementen maken alles compleet. We see more 80´s influences in the summer collection Gravity. For a female, but tough, rebellion look, you can choose for tops with a trapezium shape that ask to be worn with leggings or tight pants. For a more nonchalant figure there are the comfy boyfriend jeans and wide low crotch trousers, which you can combine in a cool way with long loose-fit gilet. In this theme we see a lot of shiny fabrics and many different kinds of prints like flowers, bulbs, paint wipes and splashes. The contrasting, tight jewelery with metallic elements completes your look.

La Vie en Fleur is een collectie helemaal in de sfeer van Franse plattelandsromantiek. De naam zegt het al, veel fleurige lieflijke jurkjes en tuniekjes met verhoogde taille, schattige plooitjes en romantische vintage kantjes. Kleine, fijn gegraveerde Engels servies bloemetjes, af en toe een grote bloem zijn gedrukt op natuurlijke, veelal transparante materialen zoals katoen en linnen in wit en pasteltinten. De bijpassende accessoires zijn wat ruiger en stoerder zoals ruimen van tuigleer en een raffia of canvas geprinte tas. La Vie en Fleur is a collection entirely based on French country romance. Many lovely dresses and tunics with a high waist, cute folds and romantic vintage laces. Small, fine graved English china flowers, sometimes a larger flower, are printed on natural, mostly transparent materials like cotton and linen in white and pastel colours. The matching accessories are a little bit more raw and rough like belts from harness leather and a raffia or canvas printed bag.

Russische Matroesjka poppetjes zijn de inspiratie geweest voor deze gelijknamige zomercollectie. Dit multicolour en mutliprint thema laat verschillende vormen zien, zoals de bolle Matroesjka vorm die terugkomt in een lichtpoffende broek. De items zijn hoogzomers bloot en lekker kleurrijk en druk met folkloristische prints in off white, papaja, fuchsia, bruin en lime. Ook decoratieve pailletten, strikken en kralen spelen een grote rol. Sieraden in kleurig keramiek, glaskralen, hout en bruin leer geven dit thema een wat ruiger accent. Russian Matroesjka dolls have been the inspiration to this eponymous theme. This multicolour and multiprint theme shows us different kind of shapes, like the bunchy Matroesjka shape that returns in the lightly puffed pants. The items are midsummerly nude and deliciously colourfull with folkloristic prints in off white, papaja, fuchsia, brown and lime. Decorative sequins, knots and beads are also common in this collection. Jewelery in colour ceramics, glass beads, wood and brown leather give this theme a rougher accent.
