How did you come up with the idea to start a handbag community?Hoe kwam je op het idee een handtassen community te beginnen?
I have a background in footwear and accessories development and production, and my partner, Brian Meert, CEO has a background in online marketing and web development, we wanted to work together and thought this would be a perfect way to meld our experiences. As an avid handbag consumer, I wanted one place to go to find all handbag related information. There wasn’t a site like this, so we created one.Ik heb in het verleden ervaring opgedaan in de ontwikkeling en productie van schoenen en accessoires. En mijn partner, Brian Meert, kent de wereld van website ontwikkeling en online marketing. We wilden samenwerken en dit leek ons de perfecte manier om onze ervaring samen te smelten. Omdat ik een enthousiaste handtasgebruiker ben, wilde ik één plek waar ik alle handtas gerelateerde informatie kan vinden. Zo’n soort website bestond nog niet, dus hebben we die gemaakt.

Do you have a handbag addiction?Heb je een handtasverslaving?
I am always addicted to roomy, leather bags and currently obsessed with a collection called Rian Handbags. (rianbags.com) as well as the line by Elly-Clay (ellyclay.com), I carry a lot of clutches and would love to get my hands on Alexander McQueen’s Faithful Clutch. I have to confess, I’m a bit boring when buying bags and tend to gravitate toward anything black, grey or brown, but am becoming more adventurous as Handbago grows as I come into contact with more and more up-and-coming designers.Ik ben dol op ruime, lederen tassen en momenteel geobsedeerd door een collectie genaamd Rian Handbags (rianbags.com) maar ook de lijn van Elly-Clay (ellyclay.com). Ik draag veel clutches en zou heel graag de Alexander McQueen’s Faitful Clutch willen hebben. Ik moet toegeven dat mijn smaak wat saai kan zijn doordat ik vaak kies voor iets zwarts, grijs of bruin. Maar nu Handbago groeit wordt mijn smaakt avontuurlijker doordat ik met steeds meer nieuwe designers in aanraking kom.
