May. 30th 2010 by Maaike Staal (stylist)

For those of you who haven’t been to the HTNK One Day Shop last week, I’ll introduce you to some of the accessory designers represented there.

Sacha Lannoye jumped in on the 80s/90s vibe and designed some good old name tag necklaces with a twist.

Bags, Bags, Bags; Degrootstyle

Mar. 28th 2010 by Maaike Staal (stylist)

If you like bright colours or special details, you found your partner in Degrootstyle! Missy DeGroot, designer of the label, makes everything except basic bags. Her designs are often made out of a combination of materials and have nice accents. For example bags with zippers as adornments and a clutch with a big claps which reminds me of the purses from ancient times.

On the site of the baglabel, Missy tells us she gets her inspiration from her travelings around the world. On her trips she searches for the most unique, exotic and beautiful kinds of leather and other materials. With these materials she designs her stylish and sophisticated bags.

Bags from Belgium; Alex Schrijvers

Feb. 5th 2010 by Maaike Staal (stylist)
This year at the Modefabriek (fashionfair in Amsterdam) there was a special place for unique design from Belgium. One of the exhibitors I found there, was the baglabel Alex Schrijvers who showed beautiful handcrafted leather bags.
The bags are both completely designed ánd produced in Belgium with leather which has been tanned in West-Vlaanderen. Special features are the sublime material, the creative design and the good prizes. The bags are timeless and modern and he designs not only for women but also brings a few unisex styles.
All bags are lined and have an innerpocket, a cellphone-compartment and a keychain; very handy!!

Some bags will soon be shown in bagmuseum Hendrikje in Amsterdam.

The collection is shown at the site of Alex Schrijvers, www.alexschrijvers.be Read More
