Can not be missed this year’s Alice and Wonderland are absolutely everywhere. It recently exhibited Spring windows decorated by famous designers such as Chloe, Christopher Kane, Ann Demeulmeester, Alexander McQueen and Maison Martin Margiela, who presented their own vision of the universe of Alice. Today’s turn of Christian Louboutin to take precedence, and offer an advertising campaign, which would be his first official campaign for a collection, very clearly inspired by the world of the pretty blonde. officiële

3-D Miss Dior Cherie Website Goes Live

Apr. 23rd 2010 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)

Due to its ethereal, intangible qualities, fragrance has historically been one of the most difficult beauty products for brands to communicate to consumers both in print and online.

It’s just one of those items that is best experienced in store.

Not anymore! Miss Dior’s Chérie found a way to break those boundaries with its latest advertising stunt — in the vein of Avatar and Alice in Wonderland, Dior has gone 3-D. Nu niet meer! Chérie

As reported on Style.com, Dior’s new Miss Dior Cherie site brings a 3-D movie experience to your laptop, complete with instructions to print out the Miss Dior Cherie ad, ready your webcam and room lighting and install plug-in content. Chérie Chérie

Once the webcam takes a picture of your printout, the fun begins. It’s an interactive virtual pop-up book. You can click on elements that will fill you in about the fragrance’s notes (these are 3-D) or you can go to Sofia Coppola’s whimsical commercial for the juice, starring Maryna Linchuk, shot in Paris.

All that’s left is a girly Miss Dior Cherie iPhone app — no doubt it’s on its way. Chérie

Alice in Wonderland rings

Looks like yet another designer has joined the tea party.

Jeweler H.Stern has partnered with Disney for a new collection inspired by the 3-D movie “Alice in Wonderland.”

Scenes from the Tim Burton film, which has already spawned a slew of beauty products and designs from the likes of Stella McCartney, are brought to life in the glittering range of gold and diamond sculpture-rings, according to the jeweler’s press release.

The five rings were inspired by the gothic “Underland” captured on screen, with fantastical representations of the Cheshire cat, mushroom forest (above left), Jabberwocky dragon, living flowers, and topiary garden (above right) on display.

The quirkiness doesn’t stop there. The jewels, available by special order, come in two sizes — “human dimension” and “extraordinary dimension,” with bling measuring up to 10 cm.

Stella in Wonderland

Feb. 7th 2010 by Gina Bijlard (former author)

We all know the story about Alice by now, a little girl that ends up in a Wonderland, where nothing is what it looks like.
Tim Burton’s 3D version of the fairytale Alice in Wonderland, starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, is to be released in theaters March 2010.
In honor of this Disney film, Stella McCartney has designed a limited edition line of jewelry, that consists a necklace and a charmbracelet.

These items are designed in neutral black, soft pink and brown shades.
The charms, which are attached to a brass chain, feature Plexiglas, pearls, Swarovski crystals and come in shapes like a rabbit, the Mad hatter’s hat, a spade, club, heart and a diamond.

These wonderful jewelry are available by February 2010 in the Stella McCartney boutique.
You do have to put some money aside for these items, for 335 pound you will own a really unique bracelet from Stella.

Stella is by the not the only one who has designed jewelry with the fairytale Alice in Wonderland as a muze.
Swarovski also designed a line based on this extraordinary fairytale.

Fallen angel ?

I´m a huge fan of Ebay (who isn’t, these days). The search for that perfect dress/pair of shoes or special artpiece takes a lot of time. Nowadays the economy still suffers from the crisis and that’s why it’s more interesting to buy on Ebay!
The british pound is at a very low point at the moment www.ebay.co.uk and with a little bit of investigation you can find great items for less! Last week, when the mailman brought two packages I couldn’t be happier.

The purple ruffledress I ordered fitted perfectly. The next item that brightens my day is the ‘escaped birdcage necklace’. This is the site where I ordered it and really wanted to share it with you . The owner, Nicola makes super cute jewelry! She takes vintage jewelry and uses them to make new creations. You can choose from different themes, for instance 80’s retro, Birdcages, Alice in Wonderland (for the Disneylovers). Just go, click and take a look! I’m very curious if you like it or not!
