After designing collections for four years, following the pace of the fashion system, it was time for a change. So fashion designer Sanne Jansen came up with a new concept ‘by Sanne Jansen’: one outfit every month for him and her with a strong Dutch signature.
The fashion season has begon that means a lot of amazing Fashion events/parties will take place in Amsterdam. Fashion Addicted will open the fashion party season on the 21st of January with an amazing DJ line-up, fashion shows of couturier Anna Grigorian and fashion designer Michel-Angelo Winklaar (both candidates of the 2011 edition of Project Catwalk). Dutch Fashion Models will be there to scout new faces and 100 goodiebags will be given away to the firs 100 visitors.
The ticket are 10 euro in presale and 15 euro at the door.

Tomorrow the men collection brand OntFront will have an official brand store launch at the Haarlemmerdijk 121 in Amsterdam. You are always welcome but the launch will be from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. So if you are in the neighbourhood don’t hesitate to stop by the store.
Monday the 22nd of November H&M opened its Dutch flagship store in a magnificent monumental building on Dam Square, one of the most high-profile locations in Amsterdam and the historical heart of the Dutch capital. This exciting new store will be the first H&M store in the Netherlands to feature the Home concept. And with six floors of shopping, customers can also enjoy an extensive range of fashion and accessories for women, men and kids.
Dutch couture Ronald Kolk presented his 25th show in the Krasnapolsky hotel in Amsterdam. The over hundred visitors were welcomed in the beautiful winter garden with a glass of champagne. Sharon den Adel, singer of the Dutch band Within Temptation opened the show called ‘Boudoir Noir’.
A lot of black and white creations were seen on the runway. Flamboyant, wistful, baroque and ultra-modern are terms the Dutch designer used as characteristics for his collection.
Suits with high slits, jackets with coated waists and corsets with shiny dresses. A beautiful bride in black ended the show spectacular with half naked dancers in white trousers with a feather fan. Through the curtains of sparkle confetti Ronald Kolk himself received a well-deserved applause.
Onderzoeksbureau GFK kwam met het bericht dat de gemiddelde cup maat van de Europese
vrouw in 15 jaar is gegroeid van 75B naar 80C. Maar liefst 30% van de Europese vrouw heeft een cup D of groter.
De Nederlandse vrouw staat in Europa op de derde plaats als het gaat om grote borsten.Op nummer 1 staat Engeland
waar 57% een cup D of groter heeft. En Denemarken staat met 50% op nummer twee.
Bij veel grote modeontwerpers speelde de borsten een grote rol in hun laatste catwalkshows.Jaren lang zagen we super dunnen modellen op de catwalk waardoor dus ook weining boezem. Maar voor komende winter mag het allemaal weer het decollete en de vrouwelijke rondingen.
Helaas hebben dames nog steeds het idee dat lingerie in grote maten een hoog grootmoeder gehalte heeft en totaal niet sexy of fashionable is. Leuke kanten setjes geven niet genoeg ondersteuning voor de grotere maten. En de meeste lingerie winkels beschouwen cup maten vanaf 80E als een bijzonder maat.En dat is jammer want juist daardoor draagt 80% van de vrouwen een verkeerde cupmaat. One of the highlights of Amsterdam International Fashion Week last week was Daryl van Wouw. Daryl was the conversation of the week and indeed!
The show started much later than expected. It was fully packed, that there were no seatings or standing places left anymore. Last Saturday Daryl showed his Spring/Summer collection inspired by the song ‘Paradise Circus’ of the American band Massice Attack. This collection is totally different then we expected from Daryl.
No ‘street’ look this time. But loud colors such as green, yellow, blue and red in all models hair. Daryl showed different designs like short dresses, shorts, jumpsuits and leather sandals. For all lovers he also showed some designs made of (soft) leather.
Particularly the show had a foreign look. I said it before, no ‘street’ look but we could call it ‘Street Chic’.
Fashion Jeanslabel Citizens of Humanity organised an exclusive fashion party last Saturday in the SupperClub in Amsterdam. The SupperClub was all transformed into Denim, the dresscode was also Totally Denim. Not everybody was dressed in Denim, that’s a pity but it happens. When we arrived we directly went to Le Bar Rouge, La Salle Neige wasn’t open yet cause of the preparing of the party. In Le Bar Rouge we enjoyed our drinks and music ofcourse. All jeanslovers could buy CoH jeans that night and it was also possible to pimp your jeans by a denim designer. On midnight the doors of La Salle Neige opened and the party officially started.
The best dressed woman and man of that night won a pair of the CoH jeans!
It was a great party and Fesjon made some pictures with one of the organizers (but wellknown as a Stylist) Chantal Bles, yes the sister of Stylist Danie Bles.
The 22 year old Adut Mawien from The Hague won the first edition of Top Model of Colour Holland 2010. Last Saturday 20 contestants presented theirselves in three different roundes; bikini, casual and evening clothing. It was very difficult but Adut was one of the favorite contestants because of her editorial look.
