Amsterdam International Fashion Week closed in style with a spectacular show of Club Brillant. The hall was very full some people couldn’t even sit down.From beginning to end we watched the show with a lot of enthusiasm. Dutch designers where presenting there most beautiful creations, with 60 models, this the most amount of models that has been walking for a show at AIFW.
We have seen creations of Daryl van Wouw, Elsien Gringhuis, Monique Collignon, Lew, LaDress, Mada van Gaans, MalouseBastiaan, Ontfront, And Beyond, Michael Barnaart van Bergen, Jeroen van Tuyl, Bibi van der Velden and Ilja Visser.

handsAs from this week London’s most cutting-edge store Dover Street Market will sell the exclusive Mommoth Collection and  Fine  Jewellery Line of Bibi van der Velden. Her latest collection ‘The Mammoth Collection’ in which she uses 40.00 year old mammoth tooth inlayed with prevoius stones, pearls and 18 ct gold is a collection of  mini sculptures that are created into rings. Which allows you to wear a piece of history of evolution around your finger. ‘The Fine Jewellery Line is a limited edition collection of unique designs, using materials such as gold, platinum, diamonds as well as precious and semi-precious stones.

Bibi van der Velden

Bibi van der Velden opened this tenth edition with her spectacular show, called “Afrozonian Affluence”, fully inspired on Africa, with as a sub theme birds.
With the use of feathers, sharks teeth, fur, ostrich eggs, porcupine pins, a gigantic turtle shell and a mounted peacock, she manufactured her body jewellery which was shown.

Gisteravond opende ontwerpster Bibi van der Velden in de Westergasfabriek de tiende editie van AIFW met haar fashion show. Haar show is geïnspireerd op Afrika, de boeken die ze leest de films die ze kijkt. Van der Velden heeft geen mode achtergrond maar dankzij haar kunstachtergrond maakt ze erg mooie en indrukwekkende body sieraden.
