The story begins in the 70′s. Walter Hidden from London was the proud owner of a very unique milkshop in Covent Garden. Which was the favourit hangout of many trendy youngsters. The reason for them being there had a lot to do with Walter’s vision on life which he translated to his shop. Instead of delevering just milk, he also gave people a rose. And for the love of his life he added a note which said: Milk & Roses 4 U. They all became good friends whom shared their passion for life and beauty.
A concept was born. Milks and Roses, an all-encompassing combination. The positive energy of milk flows together with the pure beauty of the rose. This same symbolism is found in the collection of Milk and Roses! No more waiting, get carried away into this lifestyle, enjoy and be happy. Milk and Rose, certainly not just another denimlabel!!
Fashion Jeanslabel Citizens of Humanity organised an exclusive fashion party last Saturday in the SupperClub in Amsterdam. The SupperClub was all transformed into Denim, the dresscode was also Totally Denim. Not everybody was dressed in Denim, that’s a pity but it happens. When we arrived we directly went to Le Bar Rouge, La Salle Neige wasn’t open yet cause of the preparing of the party. In Le Bar Rouge we enjoyed our drinks and music ofcourse. All jeanslovers could buy CoH jeans that night and it was also possible to pimp your jeans by a denim designer. On midnight the doors of La Salle Neige opened and the party officially started.
The best dressed woman and man of that night won a pair of the CoH jeans!
It was a great party and Fesjon made some pictures with one of the organizers (but wellknown as a Stylist) Chantal Bles, yes the sister of Stylist Danie Bles.
How ever the Jeans where never completely gone, there are a lot of denim collections this upcoming season.
What used to be very fashionably wrong, is now a must.
To dress in denim from top to toe is now a “do” on the fashion list, and next to that it’s its absolutely hot to combine different kinds of structure en colored denims.
Looking at the Jeans itself, we see a lot of washed, bleached, holes, ripped and the Boy-friend-model.
H&M has a small collection made completely from denim fabrics.
