Dolce & Gabbana are launching a new company: they want to create a place where young upcoming talent can present their work.
The business; called Dolce &Gabbana Spiga 2 are opening their doors in Milan at September 18th. At the moment you can find young talent such as Peter Jensen, Behnaz Sarafpour, Heather Williams, Yigal Azrouël, Fannie Schiavoni and Erkan Coruh.
For bought artists, this will be an adventure to give a helping hand to the young generation.
To give a large amount of designers a change the designers who present their designs are changing constantly. D&G hope this spot will be a sort of hostel for new fashion talent.
Coccinelle fashion for kids!
Mar. 28th 2010 by Lotte van den Acker (former author)Coccinelle Fashion Stores is a chain for the fashionable kids among us with labels like Armani, MonnaLisa, Roberto Cavalli, Burberry and D&G. Right now there are six branches in The Netherlands and since 2007 Coccinelle also has a webshop where you can buy baby- and kidsclothing day and night.
This Sunday april 11th there will be a catwalkshow taking place in Plaza Rotterdam, initiated by Coccinelle. The mall will be transformed into a true fashion spectacle full of inspiration and dynamism, where parents and children can enjoy the fashion show alongside many other activities (like a performance from the Guess Streetdance Team).
Since this successfully returning kidsshow continues to distinguish itself and Coccinelle will once again drop a spectacular show, it’s right that owner Mr. Pierro Iacomoni and designer Mrs. Bertocci from MonnaLisa will fly especially from Italy for this event. There are also many important agencies (from for example Diesel, Burberry and Armani) who would not want to miss this event.

Madonna launching eyewear collection

After forming her own brand with Neil Cole’s Iconix Group and creating the Material Girl juniors collection for Macy’s, it’s clear that Madonna has a very bright future in fashion.
The designing diva is partnering with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for a collection of sunglasses to be sold bearing the logo MDG.
“Designing an eyewear line with Madonna was a new experience for us. The oversized and wraparound designs are sexy and very feminine, like our clothes. Madonna’s creative contribution and unique point of view were key, even in designing the MDG logo,” Dolce and Gabbana remarked in a release.
The six-pair collection, retailing for $250 to $290, will be produced and distributed by Luxottica, Dolce & Gabbana’s eyewear licensee. The glasses will be available at Dolce & Gabbana stores internationally, as well as Sunglass Hut and select opticians starting in May.
Madonna and the designers have collaborated on several projects previously, including the costumes for her 1993 Girlie Show tour, and she currently appears in the design house’s spring ad campaign.

Milaan Fashion Week (deel 3)
Sep. 26th 2008 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)“Kleur” roept Tomas Maier ontwerper van Bottega Veneta achter de coulisse om kenbaar te maken dat de kleur beige verdwenen is en plaats heeft gemaakt voor de kleuren oranjegeel, bruingeel en oranje, speciaal voor de zacht lederen tops, rokken en jurken die de show opende.
Vlak daarna volgde er een uitbarsting van oranje of asperge groen bij de rustige stukken waren er strepen en verwelkte bloemen prints te zien.
Toen D&G hun inspiratie moesten definiëren, kwamen ze met Cannes en het spirituele van mediterrane ressorts.
Maar dat moet een tijd geleden zijn toen de bikini plaats maakte voor gestreepte badpakken met een anker aan de voorkant.
