The 22 year old Adut Mawien from The Hague won the first edition of Top Model of Colour Holland 2010. Last Saturday 20 contestants presented theirselves in three different roundes; bikini, casual and evening clothing. It was very difficult but Adut was one of the favorite contestants because of her editorial look.

Jan Taminiau opened the 12th edition of Amsterdam International Fashion Week. In a very crowdy hall he presented his collection for a/w 2010-2011. His contemporary and mystic vision were definitely processed in the designs.

He is taken you to his fantasy world and shows you the beauty of the female body. 20 models walked over the catwalk and strike a pose in a very alien style. The futuristic and very elegant collection contains a lot of sequins, glitter and some awesome ruffles.

Last Saturday, 28th November, I attended the 3th Face & Figure Model Convention in the World Fashion Centre, in Amsterdam. 300 contestants with model skills were selected by the scouts on a much frequented Model Convention. There was also a mini convention for the young ones from the age of 13.

Mariana Verkerk (also known as the catwalk coach of Benelux’ Next Top model) informed the contestants about modeling and she gave a short catwalk workshop to show everyone how to move on the catwalk. After the workshop the contestants had the chance to present their selves on the catwalk to a lot of national and international modeling agencies like Ford Models, Mega Models, TMF and Favourite Models. Come and visit the Face & Figure ModelConvention on 28th and 29th November in the World Fashion Centre in Amsterdam. This 3th ModelConvention is all about Fashion, Models, Photography and workshops by Fashion professionals. Boys and girls from the age of 13 has the opportunity to present their selves and meet top modeling agents from New York, Paris, Milan, London and a lot more.

Beside the search of a model to represent the Netherlands on the Ford Super Model of the World contest 2010 in Brazil, there is also a search for Holland’s Next Top model of Colour. Every fashionista can come and join the ModelConvention!

Only three contestants left, but who’s going to be Benelux’ next topmodel?

The BNTM judges made their decision and think one of these three girls can be Benelux’ next topmodel.

The girls having one more chance tonight to prove their selves on the catwalk during the finalshow at the Lichtfabriek in Haarlem. During the finalshow the models will show designs of  Addy van den Krommenacker and Bas Kosters on the catwalk.

It will be a spectacular show with guestperformances of Nigel Barker, photographer and judge of America’s next topmodel, Lisa (winner X-factor) and Di-rect.

The winner of Benelux’ next topmodel wins a €75.000 contract by ModelMasters The Agency, a photoshoot in glamour magazine Beau Monde and a photoshoot for Max Factor’s campagne.
