Sarah Jessica Parker for Halston Heritage

Mar. 18th 2010 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)

On the heels of unveiling an online wedding boutique, the powers that be at Net-A-Porter are now launching Sarah Jessica Parker’s debut Halston Heritage collection.

The diffusion line, which has already been worn by SJP herself as well as Chloe Sevigny, starts at $195 for a metallic evening clutch and climbs to $895 for a floor-length gown.

Like the main Halston collection, the designs by SJP are inspired by the fashion house’s archives and the Studio 54 crowd of the late ’70s and early ’80s, with a modern twist.

This translates to stretch jersey halterneck jumpsuits, heavily draped one-shoulder stretch-jersey caftans, double-layer silk maxi dresses, sequined vests and very disco-worthy little frocks.

The palette goes from black and white to vibrant shades of violet, orange, fuchsia and green, with a smattering of prints.

While the line, which includes totes and other bags, is now available on Net-A-Porter, fans will also be able to see many of the styles worn to perfection in the “Sex and the City 2″ movie, out May 28.

Net-A-Porter is celebrating

Jan. 21st 2010 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)

Talk about a dream come true! To celebrate its recent millionth customer order, high-end online retailer Net-A-Porter is thanking site visitors by giving away a $40,000 shopping spree.

Yep, you read it right: $40,000!!!

The best part is you don’t even have to buy anything to enter the contest, it’s open to all.

Starting later today, when the competition goes live, you can register, one time only at Net-A-Porter/celebration. The contest will run for three weeks (until Feb. 11) at which point a random winner will be chosen.

We could seriously dream about this all day, but we should probably wait until later today when we can register ourselfs.

What would you buy with $40,000 at Net-A-Porter? Tell us in a comment!
