G-star in 3D

Sep. 16th 2010 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)

The runway show took place at the Pier 94 exhibition space, perched over the Hudson River on the western side of midtown Manhattan. A single-stretch catwalk provided plenty of opportunity for guests to study the collection pieces. A large, wooden Arc Pant sculptural backdrop and recurring motif in the catwalk center carpet reinforced the 3D underpinnings of the collection.

The front row included actress Liv Tyler and world chess number one Magnus Carlsen – both of whose images front G-Star’s upcoming Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign. Curated by photographer Anton Corbijn, the campaign will be visible in print, outdoor and instore as of mid-September.

SATC 2

May. 23rd 2010 by Mariana Davelaar (editor)

You certainly have noticed that SATC 2 will make his premiere Thursday May 27th in the Netherlands. Two years ago “SATC the Movie” from filmproducer Michael Patrick King made his debut, that was a great success. After many requests from the fans, they decided to make a part 2.

The fun, the fashion, the friendship it’s all back in Sex and the City 2.

What will happen after saying “I do”? Everything is going smoothly for the ladies but it wouldn’t be ‘Sex and the City’ if there weren’t a few surprises along the way…
This time it’s the shape of glamorous, sunny adventure that make them leave New York and go to the one of the most luxurious and exotic locations, where they party all day long and where mystery is hiding in every corner.
It’s the relaxation that comes on the right time for the four friends who are seeing themselves falling into, but fighting against, having a traditional marriage, motherhood and much more…

“After all, sometimes you just have to get away with the girls.”

It’s going to be the most talked about film of this year.

So don’t miss it!!

Clipawhat?

Oct. 13th 2009 by Karlijn de Vries (former author)

Did you ever think about what our best friend, the bag, has to go through? You sit in a restaurant, you drink a cocktail in a bar, you’re relaxing in the parc, sitting on the toilet or you’re dreaming in the cinema. We’re taking good care of ourselves, sitting high and dry. But what about our bag? He’s standing on a dirty floor. They agreed in the US that this is a total waste. Especially in hip & happening New York there’s a new trend: The Clipa!

This is an instant handbag hanger. You put a ring on your bag and at the moment you don’t need your beautiful It-Bag, you just clip it on a table, fence or door. No reason anymore to put your bag in any kind of dirt.
You can find it in all kind of different colours, but there’s also a pink version available, to help the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. A good cause and a welcome trend bonding together!
